Create New Retro

Creating a retrospective in Nimble is straightforward. Navigate to the project in which you want to conduct a retrospective. Then, from the Execute menu select Retrospectives.

  • Choose a Template: Select from pre-built templates like Glad Sad Mad, Start-Stop-Continue, 4Ls, or design your own (more on that later).
  • Set a Title: Give your retro a clear, descriptive title.
  • Define the Time: Specify the iteration or time-period you want to reflect on.

Configuring Templates

Retrospective offers powerful customization options for templates, catering to diverse team needs. To configure templates:

  1. Go to the Select Template section under Retrospectives.
  2. Choose from the library of built-in options or you can also create a custom template.
  3. Then, you can conduct Retrospectives on the selected template.

  • In the Invite Members section.
  • Choose participants from existing team lists.
  • Assign roles such as Facilitator or Participant to streamline the session.

Invitation links will be sent to the participants such that everyone can join and contribute.

Conducting

Conducting a retrospective in Nimble is smooth and engaging. It allows flexibility for distributed teams. It includes:

  • Real-Time Updates: The facilitator has the role to view input from all participants as it happens.
  • Anonymous Feedback: Encourage candid discussions by enabling anonymity.
  • Timer and Progress Indicators: Keep the session focused and on schedule.

Ideate

Participants

Moving Action Items to Nimble

While moving to the Feedback phase, you can convert your action items to card types that are available in your Nimble project.

  • Then, select the card type from the list of card types available in your Nimble project.
  • In Nimble, you can assign tasks to team members with deadlines and priorities.
  • And track progress directly within Nimble, ensuring accountability and follow-through.

View Retro

The View Retro feature provides a consolidated view of all your retrospectives. Each retrospective includes:

Retrospectives allow you to create Custom Templates that are perfect for teams with specific needs. Whether you’re following a niche framework or experimenting with new methods, you can design templates that work for you.
